i have a live-wire attraction to these small waifs; i think it is because they are so unpretentious. i am not talking about the violets in
your yard, but referring to Viola odorata, which also includes 'parma' violets (which have been grown in France since the last century for the perfume trade.)
this night stand was a labor of love (as well as a labor of labor!) and evolved over several years.

you should smell them cindy..about 100 years ago the northeast was covered with greenhouses (along w/ Paris) just for these guys & the cut flower trade
