song for sweet violettes

i have a live-wire attraction to these small waifs; i think it is because they are so unpretentious. i am not talking about the violets in your yard, but referring to Viola odorata, which also includes 'parma' violets (which have been grown in France since the last century for the perfume trade.)
this night stand was a labor of love (as well as a labor of labor!) and evolved over several years.
i offer it as my Ode.
